The front print isn’t as defined as the photo, and the inscription in the bank is REALLY SMALLI love stuff with compass designs on them so this seemed like a solid choice - and it absolutely was super solid. This locket is heavy and hard to open. The design is beautiful and it looks exactly like the product photos.I did try to open this locket with the included guitar-pick-like pry tool but ended up having to use one of my own cell phone pry tools to get it open. I don't know if they're all made like this but even if they are all made hard to open I don't think it's too big a deal. I don't intend to be opening and closing it often. I'm actually a little relieved it's hard to open so I know it's not going to fly open if dropped or a similar situation.I also like that the compass needle is red and green because it adds a splash of color to the all silver design. The chain that comes with this pendant locket is kind of on the thin side so I used my own Roma adjustable chain and it looks great.Since this is a sturdily made locket it is a bit on the heavy side. It's quite noisy when it moves back and forth on the chain whenever I'm leaning over or something similar. Not a deal breaker though but some people might not like that.Overall satisfied with this purchase and would purchase again...just wish the locket was a little lighter.Also it comes in a giftable little jewelry box that has one of those magnetic flaps and includes a polishing cloth.This is a pretty locket. Well made. The chain is pretty, sturdy and smooth. The detailing on the locket, though it is small, is done very nicely. They include a polishing cloth and what looks like a guitar pick to open the locket. Now the opener is nice but I found it not that helpful. It was too thick to wedge between the two sides of the locket to pry it open. What I ended up having to do was take a thin bladed pocket knife to slip between and pop the locket open. IT was stuck tight. I couldn't pop it open with just my fingers. It did get to the point, I was frustrated. I had to remind myself that having a secure locket was not totally a bad thing. Whatever memory the graduate decides to place in there, they will know that it is secure. If you have a more traditional graduate this will be a lovely memento to remind them of their achievement.
