Cumberland Council chose a shield design where each quadrant features an element that represents fundamental aspects of the municipality. The pendant is made in layered raised and recessed gold with coloured enamel. Significant local flora and fauna feature at the top of the pendant and in a decorative link above. The chain is made up of flat, polished gold  term bars. A simple design with an elegant, dignified result.
